What Prenatal Care Includes
Prenatal care typically involves regular medical visits throughout pregnancy, review of maternal and fetal health, appropriate testing and imaging, education about what to expect, and coordination of delivery. The exact visit schedule, laboratory testing, imaging and referral needs depend on the pregnancy and the physician’s clinical judgment.
Ultrasound During Pregnancy
NuvaCare provides obstetric ultrasound within its confirmed clinical scope. Ultrasound may be used at different points in pregnancy for reasons determined by the physician.
When a Higher Level of Obstetric Care Is Needed
Some pregnancies require care from an OB/GYN, maternal-fetal medicine specialist, hospital team or another specialist. When a patient needs a higher level of care, Dr. Ojeda-Cruzado can discuss referral or co-management based on the clinical situation.
Pregnancy Care in Spanish
Dr. Ojeda-Cruzado speaks Spanish and can discuss pregnancy symptoms, medications, testing, ultrasound findings and care plans directly with Spanish-speaking patients. The patient-experience/front-office team can also assist with scheduling, insurance and self-pay questions in Spanish.
