Diagnostic ultrasound studies are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist. Reports are typically available within 24–72 business hours and sent to the referring provider.

How do I refer a patient to Luma?

Complete the Luma Imaging Center ultrasound order form and send it to our referral team. Once the order is received, the patient can be scheduled for their examination.

What information should be included on the order?

Please include the patient’s identifying and contact information, requested examination, clinical indication/relevant history, and the ordering provider’s information and signature.

What ultrasound exams does Luma perform?

Luma provides a range of general diagnostic ultrasound services, including abdominal, pelvic, thyroid/neck, vascular, soft-tissue, musculoskeletal, women’s imaging and other examinations listed on our Diagnostic Ultrasound menu.

Does Luma accept insurance?

Luma is currently a self-pay imaging center and does not bill insurance. Diagnostic ultrasound exams are $299 per exam.

Who interprets the studies?

Diagnostic studies are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist, and a finalized radiology report is returned to the ordering provider.

When will I receive the report?

Finalized radiology reports are typically returned to the ordering provider within 72 hours. Luma does not currently offer STAT interpretation.
