Cyryx College Signs MOU with Yellow Shorts, Malaysia

Cyryx College has built another bridge with a new partnership formed with Yellow Shorts Consulting of Malaysia. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was held on 27 November 2013, at the Cyryx College seminar hall during the Trade Fair.

The MOU was signed by Mr. Ibrahim Waheed, Dean of Cyryx College, and Mr. Nicholas Chan, CEO of Yellow Shorts.

The purpose of this partnership is to collaborate on corporate training programmes. Yellow Shorts is an international corporate training firm with clients including Petronas, HP, L’OrĂ©al Shanghai, Daimler Chrysler Malaysia, and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.

Cyryx College will use this partnership to bring an equivalent level of international excellence and quality training to Maldivian corporations. These corporate trainings are primarily intended for government and private sector employees.

The MOU also opens the door for internship programmes with resorts, which will help further develop the service and hospitality sector within the Maldivian tourism industry. Interns from countries such as South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, India, and China are expected to take part, benefiting the rapidly growing tourism market.
